What are HiT JDBC products?
HiT Software JDBC products are 100% Pure Java type 4 middleware solutions for DB2 SQL access from custom applications and third party products. These middleware products can be accessed from JDK 1.1 and later environments to accept standard ANSI 92 SQL function calls, translate them into native DB2 SQL for high-performance, and then communicate with the DB2 server to access, retrieve, and update DB2 data.

What does HiT Software offer for the Java JDBC environment?
HiT Software offers a family of standards-based JDBC middleware products for the Java environment. Products include HiT JDBC/DB2 (for IBM DB2 UDB OS/390, NT, AIX, Linux and OS/2 servers) and HiT JDBC/400 (for IBM AS/400 and iSeries servers).

HiT JDBC client licensing is available for Java workstation applets. HiT JDBC server licensing is available for Java server applications.

Using native DB2 access protocols, HiT middleware offers the highest performance without the need for additional DB2 server software. The HiT JDBC/DB2 line of products employ the IBM Distributed Relational Database Architecture protocol standard to communicate with all DB2 server platforms.
